How is Hysteria 2 different from WireGuard?
WireGuard is a lightweight VPN protocol and a fast everyday default. Hysteria 2 carries TCP and UDP traffic over QUIC and is designed to stay responsive when a network is unstable or heavily filtered. Both are available on your MeduzaVPN server, so you can switch between them.
Does Hysteria 2 work well with packet loss?
That is one of its main use cases. QUIC and Hysteria 2's congestion-control options can keep transfers responsive when latency or packet loss varies, although actual speed still depends on your connection and the route to the server.
What if my network blocks UDP or QUIC?
Hysteria 2 needs UDP connectivity. If your network blocks it, switch to another protocol available on the same MeduzaVPN server, such as VLESS, Xray or OpenVPN.
Which client can I use with Hysteria 2?
Simply choose Hysteria in the MeduzaVPN app and connect — the apps carry their own Hysteria 2 engine on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. If you would rather use a third-party client, download the configuration from your account; Hysteria 2 is also supported by clients such as Hiddify, sing-box and NekoBox.
Does MeduzaVPN keep activity logs for Hysteria 2?
